The Business and Industry Advisory Committee is an independent organisation that operates under the auspices of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development. The BIAC advises heads of OECD countries about various issues that relate to globalisation and the global economy. Members of the BIAC are representatives of the largest business organisations in the OECD’s 34 member states. The LDDK has observer status at the BIAC and takes part in some of its policy committees and working groups. This ensures timely information about OECD policy initiatives and how they might influence entrepreneurship and industry.
